ADAS Front Camera system for L2+ self driving
Led complete product development lifecycle (PDLC) in a customer facing TPL role in Volkswagen’s front camera system to achieve ADAS L2+ capabilities. managing discipline leads such as Software, System, Mechancal, and Hardware. Ensuring project remains on-track by performing gate releases, cross-functional design review, product release signing, and assessment (SEC, FSM, ASPICE) and DFMEA

- Defined clear goals and expectations for area leads (DFMEA, Cybersecurity, Functional Safety, Configuration Management, Requirements Management), boosting overall coverage by 40%.
- Initiated a transparent communication culture between customers and internal stakeholders, reducing blockage time by 15%.
- Led continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities with cross-functional stakeholders, closing 20% of process gaps.
- Enhanced defect and change management practices, elevating ASPICE ratings for SUP.9 and SUP.10.
- Established a team-wide documentation framework, enriching Risk Logs, Lessons Learned, How-Tos, and more.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Led a cross-disciplinary leadership team of ~180 engineers on the Volkswagen camera project, guiding software, hardware, systems, mechanical, electrical, and validation through the full Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC).
- Served as the primary technical interface to Volkswagen, managing project schedules, change requests, product releases, and ECU industrialization.
- Oversaw internal and external milestones—including ED/DV/PV validations, gate releases, and SEC, FSM, and ASPICE assessments—to ensure on-time market readiness.
- Managed the project budget and resource planning, securing the right staffing levels and tools to meet delivery targets and customer delivery.
- Directed the VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) program, optimizing BOM costs and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Developed and maintained proposal documentation, coordinating cross-functional inputs to drive successful bid outcomes.
